#1: Visit the Canton Tower
The Canton Tower is one of the landmarks of Guangzhou, a place you must visit even if you are on a business trip. The building is the highest tower on the mainland and one of the tallest structures in Asia, with a recorded height of 600 m. There are a few things you can do on the highest levels to have a great time. You can take a ride on the horizontal sky-wheel Bubble Tram for a full view of the city, enjoy the Spider Walk (a transparent spiral ladder that will challenge your notions of vertigo), or try the Sky Drop, a 30 m fall at 485 meters above the city. The attractions stay open until 10:30 pm.
#2: Take a Night Cruise on the Pearl River
The Pearl River is the third longest river in China. It covers nearly 2,000 km and is composed of side inflows such as the Liuxi, Xi, Dong, and Bei rivers. Guangzhou is alive with commerce at all hours. The city has the largest quantity of wholesale clothing markets in the country. Every day, businesspeople from every corner of the country come together to these markets to buy and sell clothes. The best places to visit are the White Horse Clothing Market, Huimei Garment City, and Zhanxi Market. Visiting the electronics markets is also great for finding the latest tech. Visit as the evening falls: while a lot of the hottest pieces will be gone, many merchants offer incredible bargains on what they have left, since they don’t like to bring merchandise back home.
#7: Visit the Chimelong Night Zoo
The Chimelong Night Zoo is the second night-attraction of its kind in the world, after Singapore’s. It is the first night zoo built in China and houses at least 10,000 animals and over 300 different species. The place is divided into several themed areas. The Performing Square is the most prominent location, capable of holding an audience of 12,000 people. The setting resembles a circus, with artists from all over the world taking turns to present their acts. The installations are rather large, so it’s best to move around using the train service between attractions.

The best way to describe the Chimelong Tourist Resort is to compare it with Disneyland without the theme. The complex houses several parks, Chimelong Paradise, a Water Park, a Safari Park, a Birds Park, and an International Circus.
