1. Dino Beach

Dino Beach, regarded as one of the most important outdoor water parks in China, is found in Qibao in Shanghai. Dino Beach is home to over thirty exciting water amusement spots and artificial scenery such as a lake, river, and beach. Guests will relish it all, be it the water games or the funfair amusement facilities.

2. Shanghai Disneyland

Shanghai Disneyland is a daring statement from Walt Disney in reconceptualizing the original Disneyland and the “castle theme park” as a worldwide development accessible to everyone. It is one of the most well-known Shanghai amusement parks. Shanghai Disneyland includes an excellent mixture of thrill rides, family attractions, spectacular shows and interactive attractions that make it a very comprehensive park. It was developed over roughly nineteen years with a great deal of investment.

3. Playa Maya Beach Water Park

Found right next to the acclaimed Happy Valley, Playa Maya is one of the two massive water parks in Shanghai. Its style and design are outstanding, with a dozen full-sized water slides, a wave pool, slides for teens, stone sculptures of dragons and worms, performers dressed as Mayans, and a large Mayan god responsible for dumping water on everybody. Although there is plenty of delicious food in Shanghai, the food there isn’t great, so pack some snacks.

4. Happy Valley

One of the massive amusement parks in Shanghai, Happy Valley has been operating since 2009. It is home to seven roller coasters and a bunch of rides that include drops and splashes. The park is quite crowded, so summer lines can get long, but there is a lot to do. You can even stay overnight to give equal time to all the facilities Happy Valley offers.

5. Jinjiang Action Park

Jinjiang Action Park is one of the oldest theme parks in Shanghai, located south of Shanghai South Railway Station. The park features four roller coasters, a Ferris Wheel, a ghost train, a log flume, and a boat adventure. Two of the roller coasters go upside down, including the enormous Inverted Boomerang, the widest ride in the park. The Ferris Wheel takes about fifteen minutes to go around. Fares have gone up a bit recently, yet it remains one of the cheapest options in Shanghai.

6. Sega Joypolis

Sega Joypolis is a giant indoor gaming arcade in Global Harbor Mall in Changning. The park has two floors of 3D interactive games, one-of-a-kind virtual rides, driving simulators, a haunted house, bumper cars, and various leading-edge attractions. The charm of the park is the Transformers ride, a 4D chamber where players get strapped into a fast-spinning ball.

7. The Hello Kitty Theme Park

The Hello Kitty Theme Park is located in Anji, the bamboo forests where some very famous movies were shot. The park features exciting rides that are a bundle of joy for young kids, a genuinely fun parade, and a dozen of Hello Kitty’s beautiful castles. It’s worth visiting this place if you are a hardcore Hello Kitty fan.

8. Shanghai Changfeng Park

Shanghai Changfeng Park is found at No.189 Daduhe Road, Putuo District, to the west of the town center. It’s a large-scale landscape park and an ideal combination of water and mountains, open to the public since 1959. It is a perfect place for locals and tourists to relax and enjoy. There are over twenty scenic spots in the park, including Silver Hoe Lake, Hill of Iron Arms, Maple Island, Ocean World Park, and a bronze sculpture of Lei Feng.

9. Dakang Water Park

Dakang Water Park is an enclosed water park placed on the northern side of Shanghai city. It features a group of children’s splash pools and a smattering of small-scale rides, open all year round. It’s without doubt one of the best water parks in China. Among all the things you can do in Shanghai, going to a water park for a relaxing dip and exciting slides is one of the best, and Dakang Water Park has it all.

10. Shanghai Chedun Film Park

Built by the Shanghai Film (Group) Co. Ltd., this park is set beside Beisong Road, west of the Shanghai–Hangzhou Railway. It is a hub for film and TV shooting, sightseeing and cultural communication. The style and design of old Shanghai are among the highlights of Shanghai Film Park. On your visit you’ll learn how films are made and get a chance to see a film shoot in progress.
